Sell with Wunderkammer
Our auction house specializes in selling collections and collectibles. This means that we can present the items in the best possible way to the right audience and thereby achieve the best hammer prices. It is also a fundamental value for us to treat our customers well and guarantee that their items are handled professionally and securely.
Our advantages:
- Active Promotion: We actively promote our items through social media (SoMe) and other channels to ensure maximum visibility for our auctions and the items sold.
- More Buyers: Here, anyone can bid, whether they want to do it in person or online, from within the country or abroad. Of course, bidding and purchasing can be done anonymously.
- No Risk: We always agree on a minimum price with the seller, and if the item does not sell, there is no fee – in other words, it's sold or free.
- Respect for Items: We ensure that the items are well taken care of from the moment we receive them until they are sold and delivered. This includes secure and professional storage, handling, and packaging.

Two Types of Theme Auctions
Wunderkammer offers two types of theme auctions depending on whether individual items or entire collections are to be sold.

Individual Items and Small Collections - Collector's Auction
Our collector's auctions are regular, recurring auctions that we host within a range of predetermined categories. We continually expand the areas in which we hold auctions. On this website, you can always find information about planned auctions.
Entire and Large Collections - Special Auction
We also offer special auctions for entire collections. Here, we tailor the auction in collaboration with the seller. This represents a full package where the auction house takes care of everything from pickup to shipping.

Theme Auctions in Five Steps
All our auctions follow five steps - Appraisal, Agreement, Cataloging, Promotion, and Auction.
We manage the entire process while ensuring that the seller is informed and involved. Often, the seller's own knowledge about the history and previous ownership of the items can contribute to their presentation and description.
Terms for the Sale of Items at Wunderkammer Collector's and Special Auctions.
The following terms apply to the sale of items through Wunderkammer Collector and Theme Auctions (WK). These terms may change over time, and the current version can always be found on www.wunderkammerauktion.dk. These terms are effective from September 1, 2023.
1 Appraisal
1.1 WK offers a free and non-binding appraisal of items before they are potentially submitted for auction. However, rarely offered items can be challenging to appraise, and in such cases, WK may consult collectors and specialists to assess the item as accurately as possible. It should always be expected that the hammer price, especially for collector's items, may differ from the appraisal price.
1.2 Based on the appraisal, WK will also suggest a minimum price for the item.
2 Submission
2.1 If the seller chooses to use WK for the sale, the seller and WK will agree on a minimum price for the item.
2.2 The seller will receive a receipt describing the items listed for sale and the applicable terms.
2.3 All items in WK's custody are insured and stored in a secure storage facility approved by the insurance company.
2.4 As a security measure and in compliance with anti-money laundering regulations, WK will request all sellers to provide their identity information. All identity information will be treated and stored confidentially.
2.5 All articles are offered with the standard VAT (value-added tax) unless the seller informs WK that it should be sold with the full VAT. The seller is responsible for ensuring that the correct tax type is used.
2.6 If an agreement is made between the seller and WK for the sale, the item cannot be withdrawn without compensating WK. The compensation will correspond to the base fee plus the seller's fee that WK would receive if the item were sold at the appraisal price.
3 Description
3.1 WK will describe the items' originality and condition to the best of its ability through a thorough examination and consultation with experts. All descriptions will be based on the prevailing expert opinion at the time of sale.
3.2 However, it is the seller's responsibility to inform WK of any information that is relevant to the item's description and that may affect the hammer price.
3.3 WK will describe the item's general condition, including repairs and damages. Minor wear and tear will not be described in detail but will be documented through photographs.
3.4 If the item is found to be a forgery or if the description contains significant errors after the auction, the buyer may cancel the transaction, and the seller is obliged to refund the proceeds to WK.
3.5 All items sold through WK can be inspected.
4 Marketing
4.1 The seller grants WK the right to photograph the item and use the images for marketing on its own website, advertisements in printed or digital media, newsletters, and through social media.
4.2 A catalog will be produced, featuring the items with their appraisals and descriptions.
5 Fees
5.1 A seller's fee of 19% of the hammer price, including any applicable VAT, will be charged.
6 Auction
6.1 All auctions are conducted with an auctioneer present.
6.2 WK reserves the right for errors, technical difficulties, and external misuse or disruptions during the auction. The seller cannot make any claims against WK as a result.
6.3 WK is not responsible for the seller's loss of business, loss of profit, other indirect losses, or consequential damages.
7 Settlement
7.1 After an auction, all sellers will receive a summary of their sales via email.
7.2 WK settles in Danish Kroner via a bank transfer, the amount corresponding to the hammer price minus the fee.
7.3 WK cannot release the proceeds until the purchase amount has been collected from the buyer. WK will cancel the sale if the buyer does not pay in a timely manner and is deemed not to be creditworthy.
8 Cancellation of Purchase and Unsold Items
8.1 Since all WK auctions are held as physical auctions, there is no right of withdrawal for purchases.
8.2 If an item does not meet the minimum price or if the buyer is not able to pay, the item can either be returned to the seller or offered at a future auction.
8.3 WK and the seller will agree on whether the item should be re-listed.
8.4 If the item is not intended to be sold, it must be picked up within eight days after the completed auction unless otherwise agreed.
9 Complaints, Dispute Resolution, and Choice of Law
9.1 In case of complaints, it is recommended to write to WK at info@wunderkammerauktion.dk.
9.2 If a resolution cannot be reached, consumers can file a complaint with Nævnenes Hus (The House of Boards), Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, email: nh@naevneneshus.dk. Consumers residing in an EU country other than Denmark can file a complaint with the EU Commission's online complaint portal through the website: http://ec.europa.eu/odr.
9.3 Any dispute that may arise between the seller and WK, including disputes regarding the interpretation or validity of these terms of sale, and cannot be resolved amicably, is subject to Danish law.
9.4 Disputes shall be brought before the Copenhagen City Court in Denmark. In consumer relations, the mandatory jurisdiction rules apply.
